Research Abstract |
The aim of this research is to compare the situation of housing and land tenure of Japan, Germany and Italy by using statistical data; the Population Census, the Housing Survey etc. The results of this study are following. 1. The rate of owned houses in Italy and in Japan is higher than that in Germany and this tendency is related to the size and type of household. 2. The commuting hours of Japanese in Metropolitan areas are longer than that of German and Italian, because the concentration of population into urban area in Japan is highly developed after the 2WW. 3. Using Gini's ratio is very meaningful to explain the differences and their causes of assets distributions such as land and buildings between the different countries.
