Research Abstract |
A series of the regional industrialization policies such as the technopolis has taken place in Japan by MITI and so on during the last two decades. This hard-oriented policy has terminated without any fruitful results and turned out to the soft-oriented policy such as forming the regional platforms to set up and bring up businesses. This research project aims at investigating the function of the local platforms facilitated in various regions and its coordination activities. The summary of this investigation is as follows, 1. The platform function is consisted of the following 4 subfunctions such as (1)probiding the opportunities, (2)project formation, (3)start-up a business and (4)managing the buisiness. 2. The qualities of the coordination activities to support young businesses are fully depended upon the capability of the coordinator. 3. Adequate training courses to the appointed coordinators are needed very badly.
