Research Abstract

1. Investigation of Hitsujun and its basic analysis
Hitsujun of 1006 kinds of Kanji characters written by 201 student was investigated. The gathered data are 202,206 and valid data are 190,604. We analyze the differences between the these Hitsujun data and "Hitsujun Shido No Tebiki" as the standard of Hitsujun education, and we defined the correlation between the data and the Kakusu(stroke number), Haito-gakunen (the term that students study the character), and the other statistics results.
2. An input system with tablet PC and the effective description of Hitsujun data for its database
We made an input system for Hitsujun data to computer using by Tablet PC. Next, a method of description for Hitsujun data was established. So we inputted the above-mentioned Hitsujun data of the 1,840,000 strokes into the database.
3. Analysis of the Hitsujun Data according to patterns which constitutes each Kanji
The data are analyzed as patterns. It was clarified that the total of Hitsujun patterns is 3558 at 1006 types of characters, and the average of the each character is 3.54 patterns. We considered the actual condition of Hitsujun by analyzing the rates of incidences of each pattern.
