Research Abstract |
This research is a qualitative study of classroom and teaching of the social studies, the life-environmental studies and the integrative studies. Investigators who contribute this research project are concerned with learner's meaning-interpretations, learner's possibilities, and improving teaching. This Report of Research Results is consisted of Introduction and four Parts. Introduction outlines our perspectives of qualitative research methods into classroom and teaching, and our practical methods. In Part 1, two articles, which reexamine historically the research movements of teaching and instruction, are contained. In Part 2, four articles, which considerate practical methods of analyzing classroom and teaching, are contained. Also, a classroom teacher's report on portfolio approach and a record of discussion meeting are contained. In Part 3, a portrait of a small mountain village primary school, which attempts original approaches to the integrative studies, is contained. In Part 4, two reports, which considerate some possibilities of applying the practical methods of qualitative approaches into classroom and teaching.
