Research Abstract |
The aim of this project is to establish the support network system for the technology of gene-alternated mice production and embryonic manipulation by closer cooperation with academic and industrial fields. First we tried to develop the technology for embryonic manipulation of transgenic mice production and nuclear transfer. In this project we developed the ALS model rat, OGP transgenic mice and the prion assay system by human prion gene knock-in mice. In addition, we did basic research of technologies for rabbit embryo cryopreservation and ICASI technology for rat. On the other hand, we suffered from MHV infection to most of mice in our institute. Therefore we countered by the closer cooperation with the companies for laboratory animal technology. In this incident, we verified the cooperation network system with our academic institution and industrial institutions. By this project, we obtained the basic data for establishing the support network system for the technology of laboratory animals by closer cooperation with academic and industrial fields.
