Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ハロゲンは地表の７割を占める海洋上で有意な量が存在し、全球的なオゾン消費に大きな影響を持つことが報告されている重要な化学種である。本研究課題では、不均一反応を通じた定性的なハロゲンの生成、及び大気への放出メカニズムの解明と、気液相間の取り込み係数、放出係数など、定量的なパラメータの決定を行い、大気化学への定量的な寄与を見積もることを最終的な目標として研究を行った。初年度の研究においてハロゲンを高感度で測定可能なことが判明したため新規に導入した負イオン化学イオン化質量分析計を、二年度に続き本年度もハロゲン不均一反応の研究へ応用し、濡れ壁管反応管を用いた実験において臭素イオン－オゾン不均一反応における臭素の放出係数を測定した。二年度次においては液相モデルに基づく実験結果の定性的な考察をおこなっていたが、本年度では、拡散、物質移動、液相反応を組み込んだ気液二相系反応モデルを構築し、数値計算によるモデルシミュレーションを行い実験結果と定量的に比較し、反応メカニズムの詳細を検討した。比較の結果、構築したモデルは臭素イオン－オゾン不均一反応による臭素放出のオゾン濃度依存、臭素イオン濃度依存及びｐＨ依存の定量的に再現できることが判明した。大気化学における不均一反応への界面反応の寄与を定量的に評価した報告は未だ非常に少なく、本研究の知見は対流圏におけるハロゲン化学の理解に大きく貢献するものである。この濡れ壁反応管を用いた臭素－オゾン反応における臭素放出は、第２０回大気化学討論会において発表された。また、本研究で構築したモデルシミュレーションにより、実大気での取り込み係数、放出係数など、定量的なパラメータを計算し、大気化学への定量的な寄与の評価を行った。現在これらの結果をまとめ、学術論文への投稿を準備している。
