| Research Abstract |
Research on the scientific book transmitted into the Korea from 2001 until 2004 was done. So, it is 'Konyobankokuzenzu' that Matteo Ricci which was Italian's missionary was written, and 'Ryogigenranzu' to make it the target of the research. 'Konyobankokuzenzu' is published in 1602, and 'Ryogigenranzu' is published in 1603, and both points are large world maps.
It owned 'Konyobankokuzenzu' in Japanese Miyagi Prefecture library, the cabinet library, Kyoto university attached library and Vatican library, and 'it' was thought that first edition book be by the research until now. And, it owns 'Ryogigenranzu' in the South Korean Sunsiru university Christian museum and the Chinese Ryoneisho museum. 'Konyobankokuzenzu' that it is colored and that it was copied owns 'Konyobankokuzenzu' except for this in the Japanese country thirty points some. And, 'Konyobankokuzenzu' with the picture which drew a ship and the sea beast in 'Konyobankokuzu' owns it in the South Korean Seoul university museum and the Chinese Nankin history museum. Most of these world maps were read, and picture-taking was done, too, and it worked for the collection of the materials by the research for four years.
The bibliography of each world figure like examination at the same time with such investigation was done, and that difference was cleared. Then, 'Konyobankokuzenzu' with the picture of the Seoul university museum possession that a peculiar point is confirmed even in these world figures was examined and announced in the thesis.
Furthermore, the world map which this latest Western world geography and a world topography were being written in was delivered to the Korea, and examined about the problem of to recognize come world geography after that how.
It researched on Li-Soguan that 'Konyobankokuzenzu' was introduced in the Korea for the first time, and it was announced in the thesis as for this problem.
