Research Abstract	The aim of this project is to ascertain and understand through interviews and questionnaires given to them, the lifestyle of those who are actively involved in"childrearing"(senior citizens who are involved with young children.). In 2003, as in the previous year, I conducted the research mainly in the cities of Kalogeria and Miki in Hyogo prefecture, targeting senior citizens who are actively anticipating in childrearing. I solicitud detailed responses on questions regarding their motivations and reasons for becoming volunteers, and the changes in their life and thinking after they became volunteers. In addition to interviews, I observed them in their volunteer activities. Further, I distributed questionnaires to the 250 students who are taking the senior college course of"Hoboken Inamino Gakuen", as well as their family members. I presented the results of our research at a meeting of the Nihon Seikatsu Gakkai. The theme of the meeting was"The life of Children and Seniors under the 2 Day Weekend School System"and it was held on July 20, 2003 at Showa women's University. I also published a report entitled"A Report on Teaching a Diet that Improves Life of Senior, Children, and Parents"(Sukoyaka Dietary Life Associatios, issued in February 2004).
