Research Abstract |
This research was conducted to explore the possibility for applying the newly developed research models for evaluating leaching and tearning processes. This is the one of the most important tasks for teaching and learning research workers in the world. The aim of presenting these models is to verify the effectiveness to add the quantitative method to quantitative one for evaluating the teaching and learning processes. So far, it has been conducted for evaluating these processes depending on either quantitative, for example, statistical one, or qualitative, interpretive one. Therefore, the result was not to delineate the core of the teaching for effective learning. Now is the time to reconsider the traditional method for the evaluation method. The models are classified into four types as follows ; Main two models for combining between qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods : qualitative-emphasized and quantitative-emphasized type., another main two models for mixing between qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods : qualitative- emphasized and quantitative-emphasized type. On this study, the latter type of combining two research methods, the qualitative- emphasized one was verified by collecting and analyzing the multiple data of the mathematical lessons of high school students. As result, it was clear that the combined qualitative- emphasized one gave us many kinds of multiple data, especially, Interpretive data which permitted us to understand the invisible, and implicit learning processes. In other words, it made us to manifest the true cognitive operation in their inner world. The new tasks for us are to try to examine the other three evaluation model applying other teaching subjects except mathematical ones in the near future.
