Research Abstract

The spinor bose wndensate (BEC) is formulated by the Landau-Ginzburg (LO) Lagrangian mitten in terms of the Blooch state order parameter. From this formulation, it is seen that the spinor BEC is regarded as a "fenxmagnetic fluid".
By using the 113 Lagrangian, the prolile of single vortex has been obtained by using the variation equation The profile function is used to derive the equation of motion for the single vortex~ The resultant equation of motion shows a specilic form acting on the vortex: called the "IViagnus force" This hydrodynamical foree is shown to include the topological structure of the "coreless vortex".
By noting that the spinor bose condensate has a clese analogy with the anistropic superfluid helium 3A, this anisotropic nature has been examined in the context of the light polarization effect. Specifically the Famday rotation is expected for the ferromagnet state which is a spin aligned state.
In relation to the light polarization theory, the general formulation has been given for the dynamics of the Stokes parameter for nonlinear birefringeng media10. KEY WORDS
