Research Abstract |
We have fabricated the perovskite-type thin film by the Pulsed laser deposition method. We fixed the substrate as SrTiO_3, and, varied R (trivalent cation) of R_<1-x>Sr_xMnO_3 (x=0.4) from La, Pr, and Nd and its solid solutions. In-plane lattice parameters were fixed as same as that of substrate because of substrate strain and only c-axis length could be changed controllably by changed averaged ionic size of <R_<1-x>Sr_x>. This result means we can control only crystal field, and actually, we can obtain another phase diagram from the bulk crystal. In other words, we succeeded the lattice parameter without change the doping level. There is a crossover if A site cation site is smaller than Pr, the crystal shows the layered type AF spin ordering though FM in the bulk, larger, FM as same as bulk. In the experimental of resonant x-ray scattering, results show anomalous diffraction comes from the mainly Jahn-Teller distortion, probably more than 80%, though until now anisotropy of Tensor of scattering factor is believed to arise from charge repulsion between 3d-4p electron
