Research Abstract |
Improving the sensitivity and the applicability of chemiluminescence method using ruthenium complex It was concermed that the sensitivity of chemiluminescence method using ruthenium complex depended the background strength, which should be depressed in order to improve the sensitivity of the chemiluminescence method. Since tervalent tris (bipyridyl) ruthenium (III) is reducted by water with chemiluminescence which cause the increasing of background, we proposed that the use of non-aqueous aprotonic solvent for chemiluminescence reagent causes the decreasing of the background chemiluminescence and the improving the sensitivity Preparation method of this (bipyridyl) ruthenum (III) hexafuluorophosphate was developed in gram order scale. The investigation using acetonitrile solution of tris (bipyridyl) ruthenum (III) hexafuluorophosphate as a chemiluminescence reagent was performed. The results described below were found; a) Acetonitril, which is aprotonic solvent, can dissove tris (bipyridyl) ruthenum (III) hexafuluorophoshate, b) The tervalent ruthenium complex is reduced by water with chemiluminescence which couse the mcreasing of background, c) Employing acetonitrile as a solvent for chemiluminescence reagent, the background chemiluminescence is decreased and sensitivity is improved, d) The tervalent ruthenium complex is reduced by water and the reducing reaction decrease the life-time of chemiluminescence reagent, e) Employing acetonitrile as a solvent for chemiluminescence reagent the life-time of chemiluminescence reagent is increased to over 7 days, g) Acetonitrile solution of tris (bipyridyl) ruthenum (III) hexafuluorophosphate is useable to detection of aromatic compound, h) The chemiluminescence mechanism is based on generation of active oxygen from aromatic compound by irradiation of UV-light, I) Aliphatic compounds containing peroxide moiety release active oxygen by irradiation of UV-light
