Research Abstract |
The following results are obtained through this study. (1) Development of the new test setup for the filling performance of PC grout The new experimental device that can visibly evaluate the filling performance of grout has been developed. It is clarified that filling performance of the various types of grouts can be evaluated by the experimental device. (2) Study on required conditions for the filling performance of PC grout The filling performance of PC grout can be evaluated with the angle at the tip part of grout in flow. And the good filling condition has been confirmed through the test when the angle at the tip part of grout is almost greater than 20 degrees. (3) Formulation of the angle at the tip part of grout and Verification The inclination of fluid grout can be formulated by taking grout properties, velocity of grout, and a diameter and an inclination of a duct into consideration. It is also confirmed that the calculated angles at the tip part of grout are in good correspondence with the observed ones. (4) Effects of prestressing steel on grout filling performance Effects of prestressing steel on grout filling performance has been clarified through the tests (5) Proposal of the grout application method It is demonstrated that the above mentioned results are applied to the actual grouting program, if the appropriate viscosity and the velocity of grout are determined according to the diameter and the placement of the duct.
