Research Abstract |
We carried out several questionnaire surveys for Contingent Valuation Method. Evaluated objects are four natural tidal flats (Sambanze in Tokyo Bay, Fujimae-higata in Ise Bay, Isahayawan-higata in Ariake Bay and Araowan-higata in Ariake Bay) and two artificial tidal flats (hypothetical developments in Tokyo Bay and Ise Bay ). The number of people answered the questionnaire surveys are total 3150 citizens that lived in six big cities (Sapporo City, Sendai City, Edogawa Ward in Metropolis of Tokyo, Nagoya City, Kitakyushu City and Fukuoka City). The results may be summarized as follows. (1) Many citizens are evaluating an artificial tidal flat as well as the natural tidal flat. (2) The longer the distance of the tidal flat and the residence, the less increase economical value that people recognize. (3) Most of citizens are recognizing. the artificial tidal flats as the inheritance value. (4) The more know a lot of information about developed case, the more evaluate economical value of the artificial tidal flat.
