Research Abstract |
This research is aimed to build the precision agricultural information systems which are corresponding to the trace-ability of foods and the identification of organic cultivation. I developed the new dynamic GIS systems which are combined with Web technologies for Internet and mapping functions by GIS software. Until now, GIS treats mainly with the static materials. But the systems which are developed this time can display the several situation changes real-timely cooperated with Internet. And also, one can operate the precise farm management and the quality control of foods in agriculture. The dynamic data collection systems are constructed in the server machines of Agricultural Informatics Laboratory of lbaraki Univ. college of agriculture. The data are collected from the 26 farmers who cultivate organic tomatoes in Asahi village of lbaraki prefecture. The CGI systems using Perl languages are developed for constructing CSV text-format databases. These data are replaced real-timely and also can be browsed by Internet home pages. The farmer's data are integrated into the personal computer and the GIS software which is developed this time using both VC++ and JAVA languages can make several kinds of maps for analyzing the production of areas. The maps can also be watched by home pages in Internet. The systems make it possible to watch the real-time changes of farmer's cultivation and the precise management of agriculture in the areas and to make the collaboration systems between farmers and consumers.
