Research Abstract |
In the present study, we cloned and mapped a B120 gene, as a truncated human SWI1 gene, to human chromosome 1p35-36.1 where possible suppressor genes for various neuroendocrine tumors including neuroblastoma have been mapped. Expression of the B120 gene product was immunohistochemically investigated in various neuroendocrine tumors including neuroblastomas. We also examined cell-cell adhesion molecule including T-cadherin as an induced molecule by B120 overexpression in various tumors. We further explored that T-cadherin molecule was down-regulated by epigenetic events in many cancers.
