Research Abstract |
It is assumed that many female patients who want to have medical examinations for dental implant come of the ages suffering from osteoprosis. Since the bone quality has been just classified and evaluated clinically using X-ray analysis it's standard was not clear. From these reasons, we intended to investigate the relationship between the bone quality and it's metabolism after implantation. This research was conducted by the volunteer 12 patients more than 50 years old. Bone biopsy from implant site, X-ray analysis, pQCT value and Ca and P value in the blood of the patients were evaluated and compared individually around implant at the immediately, 3 months and 1 year after operation. And results were as follows, 1. Compared pQCT value of women in more than 50s years old were difference individually. 2. Interactive relationship between the bone quality, pQCT value and bone scintigraphy of the patients did not recognized clearly. 3. In observation of scintigraphy, bone remodeling and concentration were recognized around implant after 1 month implant placement but there were not differences between individuals.
