Research Abstract |
We tried to improve physics education drastically by use of IT such as digital-movie-camera, Video Point analysis, distance sensors analysis and force sensors analysis etc. It is noticed that such real time use of IT is important in science education to show real(not virtual) experiments. By use of very light dynamical cart with small portable fans, we made real time demonstration of active learning education in Newtonian Mechanics. And we are now showing that it will be possible to bring rapid innovations in physics education and drastic changes in science education. We find many rich way of teaching Newton's Second Laws of Motion even both in two extreme cases such as, : a)No friction case by use of very light dynamical cartl, and b)Large friction case(quickly reaches constant terminal-velocity) by analysing falling light paper cups. Pre-test and post-test were done to investigate the effects of our active learning education methods in Newtonian Mechanics, and got successful results of about 50% higher achievement. We accomplished DVD version of remedial physics course for improvement of university science education by our style of IT-based physics education.
