Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to seek how to give learners satisfactions in the processes of their text productions with learner-centered approach. We collected and analyzed the learners' text production data in fourth grade classroom who did not develop fully their knowledge of genre and discourse. And then, we collected and analyzed sixth and seventh graders' data. Our main plan was to make experimental lessons and describe the features of the learners' consciousness of expression in their text productions. Such features were described at each developmental stages. The following results were obtained : 1. The fourth graders' data showed variety of features of their genre and discourse selections in an initial developmental stage. So, they were useful as fundamental data. 2. The case studies in classrooms indicated that many stimuli effected the dynamic changes of learners' consciousness of genre and discourse. The important facts were existing conventions in their class rather than developmental factors. 3. As a result, We found learners' satisfaction of their text productions.
