Research Abstract |
We revealed that the neuron-restrictive silencer (NRS), which is one of the target genes of the neuron-restrictive silencer factor (NRSF), was located in the 3' untranslated region of the atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) gene and medizted repression of ANP promotor activity in ventricular mayocytes (Kuwahara. The gene whichwas named as the candidate NRSF target gene, the gene which was concerned with monoamine oxicase A or B, which plays important role on neural functions, the molecules which have new ankyrin repeat proteins and Zn-finger transcription factor as the candidate NRSF target gene were included among them These results shows that utilization of the target genes assessing system by using cell lines enables us to know actual NRSF target genes
