Outline of Annual Research Achievements

昨年度の研究成果を踏まえ, 数値シミュレーションを併用して, 以下のような方法により潮流発電に適したプロペラの高出力化を図った.
(1)数値シミュレーションを用いて翼厚, そり線, 最大そり位置の好適化を行い, 高揚抗比で高出力が期待できる新たな翼素を決定する.
(2)プロペラ翼端渦(渦芯に発生する糸状キャビテーション)の抑制を考慮し, 上記翼素からなるプロペラブレードの半径方向翼負荷分布を好適化する.
(3)水中におけるキャビテーション発生を抑制するため, 設置する水深に応じたキャビテーション発生のプロペラ回転数を予測し, タンデムプロペラを設計する. このとき, 前段プロペラ直径7mの実用機を津軽海峡(流速3.5m/s)に設置することを想定しているが, 室内での実験であることからその1/14スケールモデル(前段プロペラ直径500mm)を実際に設計製作した.
以上のモデルプロペラを用いて風洞, 並びに回流水槽による性能試験を実施し, 昨年度に設計したタンデムプロペラに比べて大幅な効率向上およびキャビテーション性能の向上が得られた. また, 回流水槽実験において, プロペラ性能のレイノルズ数による影響を把握し, 本実験範囲ではレイノルズ数が増加するにつれてプロペラ効率も増加することが確認された.
本潮流発電ユニットの特徴を最大限に活かした係留式による設置に向けて, ワイヤー本を用い, 発電ユニット子午面上ピッチングモーメント中心の位置で発電ユニットを係留し, 水流実験を実施した. その結果, 発電ユニットの抗力が大きいほど安定運転が可能であることを確認した.
