Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究課題では,生体組織の非侵襲的な局所熱物性測定手法を確立し,熱物性の観点から新たな医療診断技術を提案することを目的としている.上記の目的を達成するために,これまでヒトの皮膚の表面温度および熱伝導率の高精度・高確度測定を可能とする高精度温度プローブを開発し,皮膚がんの一種である悪性黒色腫の早期診断への応用の可能性を検討してきた.
本年度はこれまで開発してきた室温よりも温度の高い物体の表面温度および熱伝導率を高精度・高確度に測定可能な保護熱源式サーミスタプローブを用いて,悪性黒色腫担癌マウス実験や複数名の健常者にて臨床実験を行った.動物実験では,悪性黒色腫上の皮膚は健常皮膚と異なる見かけの熱伝導率を示すことが分かり,本プローブを用いた悪性黒色腫の熱物性測定による医療診断の実現可能性が示された.また,本実験で得られたメラノーマ細胞の熱物性値は,貴重なデータであり,今後の数値計算による理論的検証にとって重要な知見となった.
また,健常皮膚の臨床実験では,様々な体の部位(足裏,顔面等)の皮膚の見かけの熱伝導率測定を行った.測定値と各部位の皮膚構造や生体内初期温度分布が測定に大きな影響を及ぼすことが実験的に分かり,今後の臨床展開に有益な知見を得た.さらに,皮膚内の伝熱現象を検証するための数値計算プログラムを構築し,各部位における見かけの熱伝導率測定に与える表皮厚さ及び生体内初期温度分布の影響の理論的検証を行った.その結果,それら2つの要因は測定に大きな影響を与えることが分かり,悪性黒色腫診断の診断精度にも影響を及ぼす可能性があるため,部位や状態によって加熱方法等の適切な設定の必要があることが示唆された.
