Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では巨大ガス惑星の形成や進化の理解に向けて、1.「直接撮像法を用いた巨大惑星の研究」や、その発展的課題として、2.「赤外視線速度法を用いた若い恒星を公転する内側惑星の探査」に向けた研究を進めてきた。それらの課題に対して、2015年度に得た研究実積の概要は以下になる。
1.に対して、2015年度もすばる望遠鏡を用いた直接撮像観測を進めた。本研究で検出していた惑星候補の中で、その確認を完了していないものが残っていたが、2015年の観測を完了することで、その確認のための観測をおおむね完了できた。その結果、Kuzuhara et al. 2013で報告したGJ 504b以外は、惑星の可能性のある天体は検出されなかった。また、これらの観測結果を分析し、その成果をまとめることを進めた。さらに、観測ターゲットの一つであった恒星V450 ANDを公転する低質量の伴星の直接撮像の研究を、共同研究者と協力して行なった。V450 ANDに対しては公開済みの視線速度のデータがある(例: Fischer et al. 2014)。その公開済み視線速度データと、本研究で得た直接撮像の観測結果を組み合わせることで、V450 ANDやその伴星の軌道や質量などの特徴の詳細な分析を進めた。
2.においては、国立天文台の共同研究者らと協力してデータ解析ソフトの開発を進め、その開発において一定の進捗を得た。具体的には、生データを処理し、ノイズを取り除き、恒星のスペクトルを抽出するソフトを作成した。またそのソフトを、作成した模擬データに適用し、その動作を確認した。国立天文台で進められている赤外視線速度観測に必要な装置の開発が遅れており、本研究課題で予定していた観測を実際に進めることはできなかったが、本研究課題の成果は実際の観測研究を今後進めるための基礎になると期待できる。
