Research Abstract |
To decide opti, altime for the corrective surgery of undescended testis six experimental models of crtptorchdism were made. These models were, untra-abdominal testis, inguinal testis, perineal testis, ascending testis, flutamide-induced undescended testis, phthalate-induced undescended testis. The results suggested that in all of these rat models, both apoptotic cells and Fas positive germ cells were significantly increased in testes of postpubertal rats than t hose of prepubertal rats. Especially in both flutamide-induced and phthalate-induced undescended testis histological changes were severer than those of mechanically induced underdescended testes. The rats which welt performed orchiopexy before pubertal got better fertility function than that of rats which were performed orchiopexy after puberty in all experimental models.
