Research Abstract |
1.It's confirmed that the new training course to develop visual literacy for students to be teacher is effective. This course is constructed based on tests to students who are made to find out program structure through dividing the whole show into scenes, labeling them and picking up key scenes, key shots, key words. They are also taught to draw the map that provides the relations with each scenes. 2.To create the program to develop ability of making visual products for students in teacher training course. This program consists of how to select and make shots, take the picture and how to operate the camera. Finally students are able to complete the visual products as practical training. According to the result of research to students, it's clear that students can get at first the production techniques through the production manual and next they study the operating method of camera and electric editing as post production effectively. The Curriculum that contains students to notify the structure of excellent broadcasted program more contributes to develop the production ability of qualified visual materials and visual literacy of students. And it becomes clear that the improvement of production ability of visual products influence to grow visual literacy up. 3.To understand the picture and structure of educational show, we refer that"signifier" is visual category as message and "signified "is concept to be studied. We develop the analytical method of educational show following this reference. Conclusively we confirm the effect of this method through the test to students in teacher training course. 4.To understand the thought and ideal in aspects of producers of educational shows, we get the answers by questioners from them in Boston Public Broadcasting Station in USA. According to their answers, it become clear that they hope the show accelerate "active viewing" of audiences and communicate them. Now for this purpose, they use the e-mail with audiences.
