Research Abstract |
In this research, I have found out that the performing method in the Meiji period was quite different from that of today by analyzing the old scores of 'Osaka College of Music' possession. I've also discovered a new performance of Shamisen in the old sound sources, which we can no longer see in the theatre today. More detailed analyses are as follows: (1)I have analyzed "Sugawaradenju-Tenaraikagami 〜 Terakoya-no-Dan" and "Ehontaikohki 〜 Amagasaki-no-Dan"(sp record) of YASUHARA collection of 'National Research Institute for Cultural Properties, Tokyo' possession. (2)I recorded the performance of and the talk on "Terairi-no-Dan", "Terakoya-no-Dan", "Amagasaki-no-Dan" by TSURUZAWA Kanji the 7th, the living national treasure, the talk about TOYOTAKE Wakatayu the 10th by TOYOTAKE Shimatayu the 8th and the performance of and the talk on "Amagasaki no Dan" by TOYOTAKE Rosetayu the 2nd. (3)I recorded the talk on the change of performance of Bunraku in the 20th century by Hiroyuki TAKAGI, the researcher of Bunraku, and the talk on "Bunraku Kyokai〜National Bunraku Theatre", "a classic", "a new work" by Shizuo GOTOH. (4)Kiyoe SAKAMOTO (Tamagawa University) and I have analyzed together the sound of "Amagasaki-no-Dan". I published some parts of these research results in "The Voice of Gidayu-Bushi" (Kyoikugeijutu-Sya) and "Listen to Bunraku -A Study of Gidayu-Bushi from Musical Aspects-" (Japan Arts Council).
