Research Abstract |
Recently the meanings of the eating attitudes or behaviors have been thought as one of the important phase of psychological and sociological management for the health and welfare or the works on care taking for senior people. As the key for to improve the potency of family members the assessment and to discover the principal phase as the potential caretaker should be the most urgent task. Many of the family variables, the affairs of eating would be the most definite indices for the parent-child relationships and the psychosocial development. The parental bonding aspects might have severe influences on the relationship formation between the caretaker and the old recipient. In the first study, the research was administered which included the items for the eating behaviors and Eating Attitude Test (EAT : Garner & Garfinkel, 2000), Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI : Parker, 1983), self-esteem scale (SE-II, Endoh, 1992), and the image scales for parents (Takeuchi & Suzuki, 2000). of EAT (suggests the problematic eating) related for the self esteem scales ; the fear for estimation from others, the feelings of self-imperfect, the feelings of shame. The parent-child relationships showed correlation with the daily life of eating or eating attitudes of female adolescents. Because of the family members should have some potency to be the most important personnel for the care taking work on the senior parent or some other old family member, the pre-assessment for the family relationships as the potency on such the care-taking task. The educational curriculums and psychological support programs should be prepared for the students who as irreplaceable personnel of the care taking work for the senior member of one's family after the assessment research about the characteristics on the interpersonal approaches. And it might be the most severe task how should be operated the themes or subjects of parent-child relationships, family-affairs or the work for care taking the senior family members in the educational programs of introductory psychology. The second study investigates the potential levels of the college students' self-esteem, self-efficacy, career decision status and relationships each with the parents.
