Research Abstract |
The purpose of this research is to prove the logic of Japanese language education in Colonial Korea(Chosen) by means of assimilating the Koreans to the Japanese. The results are as follows : (1)The main purpose of the Japanese language education is to cultivate the Koreans to be new Japanese rather than to communicate. (2)The government-general in Korea would make the Koreans intended to have a gratitude to the Emperor, to have a practical knowledge and job, to work diligently, to obey the dictates of government officials. (3)The ethics to unify the Japanese was thought applicable as well as to the Koreans. (4)It was different from school to school that the actual conditions of Japanese language education in the private schools which were founded by the Koreans or the missionaries, in the school of E-HWA the anthems was song in stead of"kimiga-yo"(Japanese national song), the school of YUN-SE gave their cooperation with the government-general in Korea, in the school of BO-SUNG,Japanese language teacher, though he is Japanese supported the Koreans, the school of YUN-HEE aimed to addict speaking Japanese, but actually did not obeyed to the Japanese control.
