Research Abstract |
This research examines how Arinori Mori's policy was put into practice and how the students received it in normal schools in each prefecturesl. Historical records are reconsidered on such points as follows. *The dormitory life of students before Mori became the Minister of Education and the change of it after he held the post. *The students' estimation of school life and dormitory life. *Episodes concerning the visit of Mori to normal school. *Interesting personalities of some principals. *Campus riots in normal schools and Mori's policy After reexamination of the records, some different views on the thoughts of students about the school days and about the relationship between teachers and students, and between students in upper grade and lower grade, is showed.
