esearch on the Red-seal Letters of Enfeoffment Issued by the Tokugawa Shoguns" as "The List of the Red-seal Letters of Enfeoffment (by date of issuance)" and "The List of the Red-seal Letters of Enfeoffment (by issuer)." The research was presented as "Red-seal Letters of Enfeoffment of the Tokugawa Shoguns" at the Nihon Komonjo Gakkai, or Society of the Study of Diplomatics Japan meeting held in October 2005 and published in the 59^<th> issue of The Japanese Journal of Diplomatics. In addition, the uniqueness of the Red-seal Letters of Enfeoffment issued by Tokugawa Hidetada was analyzed and discussed in the report "the Red-seal Letters of Enfeoffment in the parent government of Tokugawa Hidetada" which was published in the 43rd issue of Memoirs of the Faculty of Letters Kyoto University.
