Research Abstract |
Optically assisted magnetic recording and surface potentials were studied. 1)Test spindle system for the optically assisted magnetic recording was designed and built. Adjust method for magnetic heads with optical spots were proposed and tested with disks which were coated with lubricants. 2)Recording media for the optically assisted magnetic recording were investigated. A TbFeCo film stacked on FePt particls was proposed as the optically assisted magnetic recording. 3)Surface potential measurement system was designed and built. The fundamental characteristics of the designed system was investigated.
