Research Abstract |
The method with which a Lamb wave of the required mode is generated and detected by electronically adjusting the timing which drives each element using array-type transducer is presented. The equipment which realized this method was developed. By the experiment using this equipment, it was proven that the Lamb wave of various modes could be generated. The new method which visualized echo signal got using Lamb wave of various modes was proposed. In order to establish higlvperformance test method using Lamb wave of various modes, the experiment was carried out for test pieces having artificial flaw. It was found that the echo signal of a hole flaw differed from a slit flaw.
