Research Abstract |
A list of ca.6,000 color slides displaying the human body structures, summed up 224 leaves. The dissection data clarified the individual number, dissecting region and outline with key words, and were noted on the mount of all the slides. Out of them,1,302 items, being essencial for dissection practice, were sorted and classified into nine categories : neck(55), head (200), back (99), upper limb (149), thorax (186), flesh example and fetus (25), abdomen (233), lower limb (196) and pelvis (159). The slides mainly consisited of normal structures of the humun body dissected macroscopically, variations, insides of the visceral organs and dissection exercises. The slides were arranged in the order of dissection paractice. The 1,302 color slides were input into the computer and were stored into the CD-Rs in the format of 500 dpi (2.5 MB memory in JPEG) per slide. All the digital images were printed in the size of 2L color stamp and more than 947 stamps have been completed to explain the anatomical findings. All the digital images were bound in two volumes, after printing two per page of A4 size. The first volume contains 380 pages with 689 color prints and a list of dissection data, displaying the upper half of the human body. The second volume contains 334 pages with 613 color prints and a list of dissection data, displaying the lower half of the body. The two volumes and CD-Rs were presented at the 16th Int.Cong.of IFAA and JAA's 92nd Meeting of the Kanto District. The volumes were used in the dissection paractice at Niigata in 2004. The digital images and prints are satisfactory to teach systematic anatomy as well as regional anatomy for medical and co-medical students. New color slides, such as chondroepitrochlearis muscle, ileal intussusception and female pelvis, were obtained from human cadavers during 2002-2004.
