Research Abstract |
We have been treated patients suffering from many sleep disorders. A restless legs syndrome(RLS) is one of severe sleep disorders. Dopaminergic compounds such as L-DOPAs and dopamine receptor agonists are recommended to use the patints of RLS. Some causes of RLS are demonstrated but they are still under discussion. Recently genetic approaches have done by some researches in dopaminergic neuro-transmission system. However they couldn't define the relation of genetically inclusion. Still now we engaged a genetic research in psychiatric field, so we done an association study between serotonin receptor subtype (HT1A) polymorphism and sleep disorders. We couldn't detect a positive association. Now we have a small size of RLS patients, so we cannot show a statistical significance.
