Research Abstract

We investigated that prevention of neural cell death and decrease of home mineral density after spinal cord injury (SCI). Systemic hypothermia shows a neuroprotective effect after SCI by attenuating post-traumatic apoptotic cell death.
And, we analyzed mechanism of neural regenerution and repuir after SCI. Our study demonstrated the re-emergence of radial glia after SCI in adult mamnals. Radial glia derived from subpial astrocyte may play an important role in neural repair and regeneration after SCI.
