Research Abstract |
A.Allergy and nutrition 1.Obesity and immunity/allergy 1) Effect of obesity on allergic asthma Effect of obesity on pathophysiology of antigen-specific allergic asthma was investigated by using diet induced-obese mice. Functional changes of T lymphocytes rather than immediate-type hypersensitivity was more involved in the asthma with obesity. 2) Effect of leptin in vivo on immunity with obesity Sensitivity of lymphocyte to leptin was altered in obesity, which might relate with immuno-regulatory changes in the condition. 2.Oral tolerance and dietary fatty acids IgE production in oral tolerance induction was altered by n-6/n-3 ratio of PUFA in dietary fatty acids, which may influence to pathophysiology of allergy. B.Autoimmune diseases and nutrition 1.Oral tolerance induction and estrogen in arthritis model mice Oral tolerance induction was affected by estrogen administration in arthritis, which implies the importance of hormonal condition in nutritional therapy. 2.Immunity in mother-child relationship was investigated in arthritis model.
