Recently, in many fields, digitization of information is spreading in the world by the progress of the compression technology of digitized data and transmission technology. Digitization is progressing also in the broadcast industry and the mainstream of broadcast is shifting to digital broadcasting from analog broadcasting. On the other hand, because of the communication infrastructure for getting the digital information, such as the high-speed LAN environment of hundreds Mbps and the spread of PCs, the information environment in a university is put on place. Various information, such as an intramural event in a university homepage, is not only acquirable, but Web is used in case of getting enrolled. However in the broadcast in a university, it is only voice broadcast of an analog and the present condition is not used not much frequently from the reason for moreover becoming the disturbance of a class.
In this paper, the information delivery platform supposing digital school public addr
ess system of the next generation is proposed. In school public address system of this next generation, it assumes being aimed at various contents, such as not only on voice broadcast but also the message on the board. Moreover, since it is predicted that the contents of video form also increase with progress of the creation technology of not only an image but also a video in the form of contents, and a video is also targeted.
A proposal with the following features is performed in such assumption environment.
First, unicast which can secure communication and broadcast which can perform information distribution, without lowering communication quality because even if the number of data receiving persons increases, the cost of data distribution does not change so much, are used in data communication. Second, by the conventional broadcasting, although the place to broadcast is fixed, free broadcasting which all users can broadcast is realized in this proposal. Thirdly, flexible broadcast is realized by adding the attribute of the broadcast channel a broadcast, place for broadcast, broadcast importance, and the term of validity. Furthermore, it is necessary to consider the broadcasting which broadcasts different kinds of contents, such as an image and a video and there are not so much contents like TV broadcasting. Then finally, playing time of an image and a repetition broadcasting interval are set, and the broadcast schedule which is calculated by the broadcast importance and the term of validity which are the attribute of contents is proposed.
