Research Abstract |
Calcium-Calmodulin kinase II (CaMKII) is a key molecule to induce hippocampal long term potentiation. To find the interacting proteins to CaMKII at post synaptic membranes, I screened for brain cDNA library in yeast two hybrid system with point mutataed active form CaMKII and NMDA receptor 2B subunit's intracellular domain complex as bate. I found one clone which coded protein phosphatase 2A(PP2A) that interact with active CaMKII but not to inactive CaMKII. CaMKII, NMDA receptor and PP2A complex are found in heterologous expressed COS cells. I also found calcium binding protein calreticulin interact with CaMKII and NMDA receptor complex.
