Research Abstract |
The aim of this research is to clarify the actual condition of gender empowerment in the field of architecture and town planning. The investigations of following items have been carried out. 1.The Situation of Women Professional Officers in Local Authorities of KEN and 23-KU of Tokyo Prefecture in Japan 2.The Situation of gender empowerment in KOREA 3.The Situation of gender empowerment in England 4.The Situation of gender empowerment in Finland There are a lot in common in all these countries that a number of women working in this field have been increasing and the working circumstances for women have improved, but sex discrimination still remains in advancement to high position. While m any women professionals are active, and put women's perspective to good account in the field of architecture and town planning. The next subjects are to meet the actual condition of women in private enterprise, and to clarify the requirements for them to continue their carrier and make the work compatible with their family life include child raising
