Research Abstract

課題遂行中のサルの脳の賦活部位を同定するための研究の第一歩として、3テスラー機能的MRI装置を用いてイソフルレンまたはネンブタール麻酔下のサルの聴覚刺激に対する脳賦活を測定した。麻酔下のニホンザル4頭(体重4-6kg)において高頻度聴覚刺激に対する脳賦活をエコープラナー像を計測した。ネンブタール麻酔(20mg/kg、腹腔内投与)2頭、イソフルレン麻酔(1.0%および0.4%)2頭のうち、ネンブタール麻酔の1頭において両側大脳皮質聴覚野に対応する部位において賦活を示唆する血流の増加が観察された。また今年度の重要な課題として、覚醒状態での記録を行なうために、MRI装置の中にサルを固定する固定具の開発を行い、それを概ね完成させることができた。また前年度より使用していた標準コイルが、径が大き過ぎて十分な解像度を得るのに適していないことから、頭部に近接して設置するsurface coilの性能を改善してより良い画像が撮影できるようにすることも重要な課題だった。そのためにsurface coilを改造し、固定具にうまく装着して適切な位置からサルの画像を撮影する位置決めをするための試行錯誤を行なった。さらに高画質の画像データを得るために、パラメターの検討を詳細に行った。そして撮像回数の回数などの最適化を図ることができた。
