Research Abstract

理化学研究所の不安定核ビーム発生装置でエネルギー58AMeVの陽子過剰核^<20>Mgビームを生成し、226mg/cm^2厚の鉛標的および128mg/cm^2厚の炭素標的に照射した。逆運道学の鉛および炭素非弾性散乱で^<20>Mgを励起し、(1)^<20>Mg+γ、(2)^<18>Ne+2pに崩壊する事象を測定した。(1)^<20>Mg+γチャンネルの解析より、^<20>Mgの第1励起状態が1.6MeVに存在することを初めて確認した。鉛標的を使った事象に対して、γ線と同時に測定した散乱^<20>Mgの角度分布を求め、coupled channel計算で予想される角度分布と比較した。第1励起状態のスピンパリティが2^+であることが分かった。
^<20>Mg+鉛非弾性散乱では、クーロン励起が支配的であるが、核力励起も無視できない。一方、^<20>Mg+炭素非弾性散乱では、核力励起が支配的で、クーロン励起は無視できる。炭素非弾性散乱断面積と鉛非弾性散乱断面積をcoupled channel計算の結果と比較することで、換算遷移確率B(E2;0^+→2^+)を導出した。まず、炭素非弾性散乱で2^+に励起した断面積をcoupled channel計算の結果と比較することで核力励起に対する変形パラメータβ_2^Nを求めた。β_2^Nを用いて、鉛非弾性散乱で2^+に励起した断面積をcoupled channel計算の結果と比較し、クーロン励起に対する変形パラメータβ_2^Cを求めた。β_2^CからB(E2;0^+→2^+)が導出できる。^<20>Mgのβ(E2;0^+→2^+)値は、理論で予想されるB_<sp>に比べて非常に大きいことが判明した。これは^<20>Mgで魔法数が壊れている可能性を示している。
(2)^<18>Ne+2pチャンネルの解析より、陽子分離エネルギーより上にクーロン励起で励起可能な状態(第2 2^+状態)があることが判明した。
