Research Abstract

今年度は昨年度に引き続き、主に軸対称2次元のMHDシミュレーションを用い、磁場と高速自転が超新星のダイナミクスに与える影響をいろいろな側面から研究した。主に澤井との共同研究では、高速自転と強磁場が組み合わさった場合のジェットの起こり方について調べた。その結果、ポロイダル磁場を内部コアと外部コアの境界付近で生じる差動回転により巻き込み、物質の圧力に匹敵するストレスを生み出すようなトロイダル磁場が生じることがジェットを引き起こす主因であることがわかった。また、この計算ではMRIによる磁場の増幅が見られなかったが、これは3次元計算を含む今後の研究の課題である。
固武との研究では、パリティの破れによる、ニュートリノの北極と南極での違いに着目をした。これは、若いパルサーに見られる高速固有運動の起源として重要と考えられるが、数値モデルに基づく評価では、南北の非対称性は実際に起こるものの、固有速度を説明するには若干足らないことがわかった。また、重力波放出の評価も行ったが、磁場からの寄与はあまり大きくないことがわかった。
以上とは全く異なるアプローチも行った。ニュートリノ加熱による衝撃波の復活に対する回転の役割を定性的に明らかにするべく、山崎と定常自転降着流解を数値的に求め、その安定性、臨界光度の変化を系統的に明らかにした。それによると、与えられた質量降着率に対して定常解が存在しなくなる臨界ニュートリノ光度が自転のあるときにも存在し、その値が自転のないときに比べ小さくなることがわかった。これは、自転が衝撃波の復活にとって有利であることを明確に示している。今後はこれを詳細なシミュレーションで確かめることが重要である。
