Outline of Annual Research Achievements

2016年8月から10月にかけて、タンザニア・マハレでフィールド調査を実施し、野生チンパンジーの「リーフクリッピング」および「パントグラント」を中心に行動データを収集した。これまでの調査で得られたデータとあわせて分析をおこない、リーフクリッピングの長期データを用いた行動生起の社会的文脈についての共著論文を作成中である。また、動画資料の分析結果については、2017年夏に国際学会で成果を発表し、その内容を国際学術誌に投稿する予定である。
その他の成果として、2015年の調査時に観察した新奇行動である「相互性皮触り」について事例報告を執筆し、英文学術誌に投稿・出版した。同じく2015年の調査で観察した野生チンパンジーとセンザンコウとの遭遇事例について、2016年7月の日本霊長類学会大会で報告し、短報を執筆中である。また、2016年の調査時に観察した金環日食時の野生チンパンジーの行動について共著論文を執筆し、英文学術誌に投稿・出版した。また、2017年2月には、人類学者との共同研究の成果として、英文書籍"Institutions: The Evolution of Human Society" (Kyoto University Press & Trans Pacific Press)を分担執筆・出版した。2016年8月の国際霊長類学会大会では、「対角毛づくろい」行動の変異と集団内伝播過程に関する共同研究の成果を発表し、さらに投稿論文を準備中である。
