Research Abstract |
This research is to develop a high repetition, nanosecond pulse power generator, which generates electric discharge plasmas in high pressure gases, the water and solids. Then, interactions of the nanosecond pulse power with bio, the living body, the chemical compound and others are examined, and the base of industrial use is build. The summary of research results is as follows. 1. Development of nanosecond pulse power generator A nanosecond pulsed power generator was developed using Blumlein line, which was charged by pulse power generator of 100 nanosecond using a magnetic pulse compression method. 2. Plasma generation by pulsed power The state of the carbon dioxide could be changed to gas, liquid and super critical fluid in a container, where the discharge plasmas were produced. Furthermore, the discharge development and temperature and density measurement of plasmas were observed. 3. Use of the high repetition pulse power generator Influence of pulsed power on Algae was studied. The gas vesicle in the cell of Algae was destroyed and Algae went to the bottom of lake. Furthermore, the apoptosis of the cancer cell was caused by a pulse electric field in a sub-nanosecond.
