| Research Abstract |
(1) There exists great gap between law professionals and practitioners concerning the two issues.
Namely:
(1) Mental health care staff are negative to accept the "refractory patients," while lawyers think they should be treated by the mental health system.
(2) Lawyers tend to take dangerousness of an mentally ill offender, while mental health care staff consider the medical treatability seriously.
(2) The cooperation in the community health care system for the offender-outpatient is weak in the new Law.
(3) Treatment and care of the amphetamine addict is a serious problem in Japan and we have to assume the new Law will find difficulties.
