Research Abstract |
Though, during the term of our project, we got a considerable kinds and sum of literature of modern Japanese poems, we regret we could not read nor inspect several issues of some important magazines, including the 3^<rd> Shiinoki, for instance. Instead, we discovered, froth each side of investigation, that many of young applicants for a poet or writer in 1920's could not only be a poet or novelist, but had to create by themselves their own form, as well as their field, for their artistic activities. This is why they were not only literary artists but also editors or publishers. FUJIMOTO exemplifies that interesting historical phenomenon in MOMOTA, Souji, poet-editor-publisher in 1920-30's, and his activities on Shiinoki. Examining ONODA, Masuzo and his periodicals Masago and Bugei-masago, SATO makes clear the same tendency of the age. SONE, also from the same viewpoint, investigates IKUTA, Shungetsu, KANEKO, Tokenka, ITO, Sei and their magazines. Our results of research will be described in more details in our report in a booklet.
