Research Abstract |
In this study, several series of experimental works were carried out. From these series of experimental works, the following research results can be obtained. (1)By fresh concrete breeding, voids are easily formulated at steel-concrete interface. (2)Steel corrosion in concrete is greatly affected by the steel-concrete interface. (3)As interface voids become larger, steel corrosion clearly becomes heavier. (4)Steel corrosion in concrete initiate at the void of steel-concrete interface. (5)As interface voids become larger, the chloride threshold value or corrosion initiation becomes smaller. (6)By applying the cement paste on steel surface before concrete casting, voids at steel-concrete interface become very small.
