Research Abstract |
We examined the role of anandamide in the acute lung injury in sheep. We prepared awake sheep with vascular monitoring and lung lymph balance. 5 mg of anandamide was infused intravenously after stable baseline over 2 hours. Pulmonary and systemic artery pressure, cardiac output and lung lymph flow were measured every 30 min. After the infusion of anandamide, there were no significant changes in these parameters. Based on the findings, anandmide seems to be independent in the pathophysiology in acute lung injury in sheep. It should be necessary to examine the dose response of anandmide.
