Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aimed to create an Internet-based learning environment for Japanese culture, ranging from traditional culture to life culture. We chose the Metaverse as the platform. This 3D virtual space is accessible from all over the world and in which people can move around with virtual bodies (avatars). We also developed a learning model called "collaborative serious games," in which learners connected through the Metaverse share knowledge by interacting to find the answers to quizzes. Furthermore, we worked on the practical application of a "design-experiment" approach to learning activities on the Metaverse, in which learners design learning spaces and games, and deepen their learning by improving them.
