| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study developed a model for empirical analysis from the perspective of the possibility that the public reconstruction works carried out in the afflicted area of the Great East Japan Earthquake might have crowded out jobs and investments of local industries. And it conducted econometric analysis. We applied the job posting data provided at Hello Work office to the statistical method of survival analysis, and found that employment in the construction industry for the reconstruction project may have hampered employment in the local industry.
In the affected areas, there is a problem that even if the industrial infrastructure is rebuilt by the reconstruction project, then no manpower returns to the local industry. We pointed out the necessity of thinking about reconstruction projects, considering the medium- and long-term industrial structure and employment situation of the afflicted areas.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究を通じて、求人票情報をデータベース化するシステムを構築し、それをサバイバル分析に応用する実証分析の手法を開発した。災害が被災地の雇用に与える影響については、これまでも研究はなされてきたが、求人票というビッグデータを用いた新たな分析方法を提示した。またこの研究手法は、他の地域や災害にも応用可能である。
この手法を用いて東北被災地の復興事業を分析したところ、被災地の産業再興がむしろ阻害されている可能性があること、復興事業によって産業インフラが整備されても、その産業に必要な雇用が復興事業に吸収されている可能性があるという、これまでの災害研究にはない新たな視点と問題提起を行った。
